Important Reminders Before You Fly

Whether you're flying for business or for pleasure, there are important rules every passenger needs to follow in order to give themselves and their fellow passengers a worry-free travel experience when flying back to the Philippine isles!

1. QUALIFY

From March 20 to April 19, 2021, the entry of Foreign Nationals and Returning Overseas Filipinos or Balikbayans to the Philippines is temporarily suspended. Only Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), Holders of 9(e) Visas, Passengers on medical repatriation and their escort who are duly endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers or the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Distressed Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) who are duly endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers and Emergency, humanitarian and other cases approved by the the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers

3. BOOK YOUR QUARANTINE HOTEL

A room reservation at an accredited hotel/facility is required to enter the Philippines. View list of hotels here. Arriving passengers are required to book their stay for at least seven (7) days. On day three (3), non-OFWs shall receive an e-mail requesting them to fill up a health check questionnaire

4. REGISTER & COMPLETE E-CIF FORM

Download and register through the Traze Contact Tracing App (https://www.traze.ph/download.html) and complete the Electronic Case Investigation Form (Terminal 2 PAL passengers: https://bit.ly/MNLPALeCIF; Terminal 1 and 3 passengers: www.padlab.ph/DLS/PassengerCIF)

5. AT THE AIRPORT

At the airport, submit the completed Health Declaration Form to the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ). Your quarantine booking will be verified by the authorized hotel/facility personnel.

 

Passengers should then proceed to the validation desk where healthcare staff will verify and confirm their e-CIF data. Pre-payment of RT-PCR test worth PHP4,000 must be paid by the passenger. Accepted payment types are cash, credit card, AliPay, Gcash, PayPal, and WeChat Pay. Before exiting the airport, submit the Affidavit of Undertaking to the Philippine Coast Guard and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) form to the BOC Officer;

 

Finally, passengers must proceed to their respective transport vehicles for transfer to their quarantine hotels/facilities.

6. GET TESTED & KNOW THE RESULTS

On the 6th day of your quarantine stay at the hotel/facility, take the COVID-19 RT-PCR Testing. Receive the results as fast as 24 hours. At any point from arrival to day five (5), passengers showing symptoms shall  directly inform their hotel of their condition. The hotel shall inform the DOH and BOQ for assessment, medical management and testing.

 

IF FOUND POSITIVE, an assessment will be made by the health/quarantine officer to determine the appropriate next steps.

IF FOUND NEGATIVE, passengers may obtain the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) medical certificate via quarantinecertificate.com and by emailing the BOQ at boq.qc1@gmail.com. Once done, present your test result and BOQ medical certificate for clearance.

7. CHECKING OUT / GOING HOME

Once cleared, you may call up your relatives or Local Government Unit to pick you up or you may arrange for your own transportation. Completion of the 14-day quarantine/self-isolation under the monitoring of your Local Government Unit (LGU) or Barangay Health Emergency Response Team is a major requirement.

Entry Requirement for Travelers Arriving in Los Angeles

To help control the spread of COVID-19, the City of Los Angeles is requiring all travelers over the age of 16 entering Los Angeles from another state or country must complete and submit the Traveler Health Form online before or upon arrival at the Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, or Union Station. Failure to submit the form is punishable by a fine of up to $500.
